I am thinking of starting a blog of mine since a long time but each time I get demotivated by some or the other reasons. Today I searched on Google again ,” how to start a blog” and happened to read this wonderful piece of yours. I am not at all techno- friendly and there were some portions in this guide that I didn’t understand but it has surely motivated me to start a blog . Great question! If the products/services you want to be an affiliate of, have an existing affiliate program—they likely have a super clear page on their site explaining their process for accepting applications to join their affiliate program. If on the other hand you’re talking about bloggers like myself here, that don’t outwardly advertise an affiliate program for products, then your best bet is to just send them a cold email (or submit a contact form) to get in touch and see what kinds of options they have available. Most people/companies you reach out to will want to get an understanding of your audience size too (so they can determine the likelihood of whether or not you’ll be driving many sales of their products, so keep that in mind!

there are so many steps yes! but the important thing is start now, right? blogging can be a source of income but as what I’ve read and seen, it is also good to have skills in digital arts. do you recommend enrolling to an academy for freelancing to build your skill especially to a newbie like me who don’t have that skill yet in terms of digital arts? do you have a recommendation? If you’re looking to sharpen some of your skills, sure an online academy or course program can definitely be helpful—consider finding free resources and seeing how much you can self-teach yourself the skill you want to build first 🙂
